We collect information you provide directly to us and information generated by your use of the Service. Specifically:
Account data: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash). If you sign up via OAuth (Google, GitHub), we receive a profile identifier and email from that provider.
Billing data: Payment details are handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We store only a tokenized payment reference — we never see or store your full card number or CVV.
Content you create: Pages, forms, images, and other assets you build and upload through PageKit are stored on our servers to enable the Service.
Usage data: We log page views on your published sites (visitor counts, referrers, device type) to power your analytics dashboard. We also collect logs of actions you take inside the PageKit editor to detect bugs and improve the product.
Device and technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URL collected automatically when you access the Service.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not use your content to train AI or machine learning models. We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties for their marketing purposes.
We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
Service providers: We use trusted third-party vendors to operate PageKit. These include Stripe (payments), AWS (infrastructure), Cloudflare (CDN and DDoS protection), and Postmark (transactional email). These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations that restrict their use of your data.
Analytics: We use privacy-respecting analytics (no cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting). Visitor analytics on your published pages are attributed to your account and not shared externally.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or government request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights or safety of PageKit, our users, or the public.
Business transfers: If PageKit is acquired or merged, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service. Here is what we use:
We do not use third-party advertising cookies or behavioral tracking pixels. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features of PageKit may not function correctly without session cookies.
Your published pages may optionally include our lightweight analytics snippet, which sets a first-party cookie on your domain to count unique visitors. This is entirely optional and can be disabled from your site settings.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will permanently delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes (typically up to 7 years for billing records).
Aggregate, anonymized analytics data (e.g., total visitors to a page type) may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be linked back to you.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:
No system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you by email within 72 hours of discovery, in compliance with applicable regulations.
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@pagekit.io. We will respond within 30 days.
PageKit is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and other appropriate safeguards for transfers from the European Economic Area and the UK.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, please contact our privacy team at privacy@pagekit.io.
For EU/UK residents, our representative can be reached at the same address. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
